Buoyed by positive response for Pulsar RS200, Bajaj Auto is now planning to upgrades its entire Pulsar range in the country. The company will launch the 150NS, 180NS and new Pulsar 220 towards the end of this year. The 150NS production has already been started. In fact, the Bajaj has started exporting the bike to select international markets including Colombia, Ecuador, Mexico, Peru, Turkey, Thailand and Finland.
The new Pulsar 150NS will be more powerful than the current model. It is propelled by a 149.5cc, 4-stroke, single-cylinder air-cooled engine that is capable of producing 17bhp of power at 9,000rpm and 13Nm of torque at 7,500rpm. Power is transmitted to the rear wheels via a 5-speed gearbox. It looks quite identical to the 200NS featuring similar styled fuel tank design, split-seat unit, instrument cluster and underbody exhaust. Based on the lightweight perimeter frame, the bike gets large fuel tank cowls, clip-on handlebar, new indicators, split tail-lamps and rear mud-guard extends. Instrument panel comprises of a digital speedometer with temperature and fuel gauge, analogue tachometer and trip meters. This 150cc motorcycle rides on 17-inch wheels. It measures 2,105mm in length, 800mm in width and 1220mm in height, and has a wheelbase of 1,363mm.
